Help shape the future of spinal cord injury treatment.
Make your voice heard during the externally-led Patient-Focused Drug Development meeting for spinal cord injury!
We are now accepting nominations for participants: people with SCI and caregivers who share their experience live during the meeting or through prerecorded video testimony. Nominate yourself, a loved one, or someone you care for. The nomination form takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
Your nomination matters whether or not you are selected to speak. Every submission helps inform the Voice of the Patient report, a public document the FDA and treatment developers use to guide research and treatment decisions.
Who can submit a nomination?
If SCI is part of your life — your own experience, someone you care for, or someone you support — your perspective belongs in this effort.
You are living with SCI
Nominate yourself to share what daily life with SCI is really like, what current treatments do and do not address, and what new options would mean to you.
You want to nominate someone with SCI
A family member, friend, caregiver, or loved one can nominate someone living with SCI so their experience can be included.
You are a caregiver
Caregivers can also nominate themselves to share their own perspective: what support looks like day to day, how SCI affects families and care partners, and what needs are still unmet.
What happens after you submit
You do not need to be selected as a speaker for your nomination to matter. All submissions will inform the Voice of the Patient report, even if only some nominees are invited to speak live or submit video testimony.
Your experience helps shape the report
Every nomination helps document the experiences, needs, and priorities of the SCI community. Your name and contact information will not be included in the public report.
We follow up with you
A member of the SCI EL-PFDD team will reach out within two weeks of your submission.
Some nominees are invited to speak live
Some nominees will be invited to serve as discussion starters, sharing a brief personal account and joining a moderated discussion during the September 29 meeting.
Others are invited to share video testimony
